A complete guide to New Hampshire's Education Freedom Account

26.05.2026

The Education Freedom Account (EFA) is New Hampshire's state-funded program that gives parents direct control of public education funds, which can be used for private school tuition and other qualified educational expenses.

MyEdSpace is an approved provider for EFA, meaning New Hampshire families can get expert math teaching for their children.

Eligibility

Every K–12 student in New Hampshire is eligible to apply for an EFA — regardless of household income.

Students must meet the following requirements:

  • 5 years old by September 30 of the given school year

Note — students cannot participate if they are enrolled full-time (more than 50% of instructional time) in a local district public school or a chartered public school, including VLACS.

Application
