Code of Conduct
For parents and guardians: By agreeing to our Terms of Service at sign-up, you accept this Code of Conduct on your child's behalf and confirm that you have made your child aware of these expectations. You are responsible for ensuring your child complies with this Code of Conduct while using the Service.
Behavior
- I will show respect towards my peers, mentors, and teachers.
- I understand that any form of cyberbullying or harassment will not be tolerated and will result in an immediate and permanent ban from the platform without refund.
- I understand that using inappropriate language or behavior during live online classes and in mentor chats will result in an immediate and permanent ban from the platform without refund.
- I understand that sharing my login details with others will result in an immediate and permanent ban from the platform without refund.
- I will behave in a manner that promotes a positive and inclusive learning environment for everyone.
- I will be courteous and polite while communicating with my mentors and teachers.
- I understand that discriminatory behavior or language will not be tolerated and will result in an immediate and permanent ban from the platform without refund.
- I will report any incidents of misconduct or inappropriate behavior immediately to safeguarding@myedspace.com.
- I will take responsibility for my actions and accept the consequences of my behavior.
Learning Commitments
- I will attend all live online classes and complete my homework on time.
- I will actively participate in class and ask questions if I have any doubts.
- I will make use of the platform's resources, including workbooks and homework, to enhance my learning.
- I will set personal learning goals and strive to achieve them.
- I will take ownership of my learning and be self-motivated.
- I will respectfully collaborate with my peers and participate in group activities and discussions.
- I will be open to learning from my mistakes and use them as opportunities for growth.
- I will maintain a positive attitude towards learning and remain curious and engaged.
- I will not engage in any activity that may dishonestly improve my results.
- I will self-mark my own work honestly, accurately, and to my best ability in order to maximize my own improvement.
- My answers to quiz questions, memorization exercises, or exam practice sessions will be my own work entirely.
- I will not make my solutions to quiz questions, memorization exercises, or exam practice sessions available to anyone else.
- I will not share any MyEdSpace course material, whether content or exercises, with anyone else.
Safety
- I will not engage in any activities that could compromise the safety and well-being of myself or others.
- I will notify MyEdSpace staff at safeguarding@myedspace.com immediately if I come across any suspicious or inappropriate behavior on the platform.
- I will ensure that my internet connection is secure and stable before joining live online classes.
- I am aware of the potential risks associated with online communication and will take necessary precautions.
- I will report any technical issues or concerns immediately to the platform's support team at help@myedspace.com.
- I will respect the privacy and confidentiality of others and not share any sensitive information.
Using the Study Aid
- I understand that the Study Aid is an AI tool and not a human teacher. Its responses may contain errors, and I will check important information with my teacher.
- I will only use the Study Aid for genuine educational questions related to my studies.
- I will not attempt to misuse the Study Aid to generate content that is inappropriate, harmful, or in breach of this Code of Conduct.
- I understand that Study Aid conversations are monitored for safety purposes and that concerning content may be reviewed by a member of the MyEdSpace welfare team.
- I will not share my Study Aid conversation history with others or use responses to misrepresent others' work as my own.
Failure to abide by these rules will result in immediate removal from the platform in accordance with our Terms of Service. Depending on the nature of the breach, no refund may be given. Your parent or guardian, or your school where the school is the account holder, will be notified. Where required by law or where we believe it is necessary to protect the safety of any person, we may also notify child protective services, law enforcement, or other relevant authorities.
